Since 1998 Hope’s Place Child Advocacy Center of Ashland, Kentucky has been serving children and their families by providing support and outreach to those in need. What began in 1996 as a collective of 10 members working in criminal justice and medical fields has become an organization that now reaches the lives of many throughout our community dedicated to ensuring safety and advocacy for abused children and their loved ones. Having strengthened others for over 30 years, Hope’s Place now can continue service to not only Ashland, but 5 counties in Kentucky and 3 in Ohio, allowing further access to anyone seeking help from them. Cassie Murphy of Hope’s Place shared “Together, we work to provide sincere, heartfelt service to our community.” The drive and genuine concern for others have brought Hope’s Place into the lives of many providing help when there may have been no other place to turn to. Hope is truly shared within their provisions as they work through day and night ensuring security and wellness for everyone.

                  Dreams can be different for everyone where some of us dream of a new career or the newest gaming system, others may dream of a good night’s sleep and a fresh clean bed. No matter what your wish may be, there is always a way for them to come true. For children and those who don’t have a network set up for them to achieve those goals, others must step in to help. A kind gesture may go along way, particularly those who intend to do good with those gifts. Like all gifts, there must be a balance as we don’t give them freely. A return is always expected whether we consciously notice or not. Seeing the smiling faces of those who have been lifted or knowing what we have given to someone has helped them in some way is the most wonderful present anyone could ask for. Often, we wonder what it is we can do or how could I help in any way? Opportunity to serve others comes in many forms, even leisure activities.

                  Hope’s Place is inviting a chance for children with their Anchors Away Cruise on the Cincinnati Belle this July 25^th. The cruise is set for boarding at the Port of Ashland located at 50 15^th Street in Ashland, Kentucky starting at 6:30pm that evening. Departure is scheduled for 10:30pm, giving passengers plenty of time to find their way to their places.  Sponsorship is required for attendance starting at $2,000 for Supporting Sponsorship which includes one table for 8 guests, Elite Sponsorship is $4,000 and seats 16 guests with eight between two reserved tables, and Premier Sponsorship $6,000 including 3 tables for a total of 24 guests. With each sponsorship package guests will gain access to a dining room setting that will include dinner, drinks, dancing, and a memorable night of entertainment as passengers make their way down the Ohio River in style. A raffle has been established along with the cruise where a lucky winner will receive a Carnival Cruise with an ocean view cabin accommodating two guests for three-eight days. There will be a chance of winning much more as the cruise day approaches. Winners can be absent from the river cruise as they will be notified separately.
