Tattoos are more than skin deep when we take a step back and see the whole picture. What may seem to be a simple image placed onto someone could have deep meaning and allow that person to express themselves in a unique and artistic way. Sometimes words are hard to get out, and a tattoo may sum up what we couldn’t. At times tattoos can be a daily reminder for someone to keep going and not dwell in the past. Tattoos can be the conversation themselves at time speaking to those who see them with only an image. What could appear to be an artist rendering of an idea or expression, may be more than what we see immediately, as there could be a great story behind the piece.
Having started around 5,200 years ago to practice therapeutic relief, tattoos have now made their way around the globe and are available everywhere. No matter the reason behind getting a tattoo one thing remains and that is that they serve as a constant reminder that we are all connected. The process of receiving a tattoo is greatly personal as another person will place that tattoo on the client for them to share with whoever they may encounter from day to day. Ideas, dreams, hopes, aspirations, reminders, warnings, and even love can be expressed with tattoos when regarding their meanings.
With compassion in mind Midnite Society Tattoo of Ashland, Kentucky will be hosting their 3rd annual Art 4 Aid Charity Tattoo Convention.
