Are you looking for something unique, handcrafted, one of a kind or maybe the latest trend in boutique clothing? If that’s the case, you will want to stop by the Boyd County Convention Center on July 13, 2024, for Boyd County Craft and Boutique show hosted by Tara Heffner and Trindy B.
The show will open at 10 a.m. However, several hours before that vendors will scurry in and out of the convention center preparing their displays. Tara Heffner, Owner of Trindy B, began hosting events at the Boyd County Convention Center in 2019. She explains, “Our events are faith based and our goal is to point each person to Christ the only Savior of our world. We welcome everyone and share the gospel to those who join us. It is our hope that someone may give their heart to Jesus.”
This show will feature about 65 craft and boutique vendors indoors and several vendors in mobile trucks outside the building. One of those vendors will be Grace Ann Faith Boutique. Kimberly McGinnis-Collins owner of Grace Ann Faith Boutique runs a mobile boutique at events such as these and a store in her beauty shop, Kimberly’s Beauty Salon. “We will have a full line of boutique clothing in sizes three to three-x available in our mobile boutique. We will have an array of dresses, jeans, T-shirts as well as the opportunity for shoppers to create their own Trucker Hat. They can choose from a variety of patches or chains for their hats and make them right there on site.” explained McGinnis-Collins.
Lauren Jackson’s, Wonderfully Made Children’s Boutique is filling a much-needed niche in the Tri-state area. Lauren has a master’s degree in occupational therapy focusing on pediatrics and explains, “Over the last few years I have observed a need in the tri-state area. Our area doesn’t have many options for children’s clothing, let alone clothing for children with medical needs. We offer clothing that will fit the inclusivity needs for both typical and atypical children.” She continued, “The need is real to have clothing that will adapt for feeding tubes, insulin pumps, ostomies and much more.” Lauren’s boutique features clothing from kids from ages three months to 12 years old.
Trailer Park Tornado, owned by Missy Hardin features rustic and Rockabilly Hats. Each is individually created and never duplicated. If you are looking for something no one else has stop by and check out these beauties.Sheryl Mahoney Jackson spices up the area vendor/craft shows with seasonings for your food that are made with all natural ingredients from her business, Joy in the Garden. Jackson shared, “In addition to my Appalachia Dry Rub and Savory Blend, Joy in the Garden has released Dipping Herbs, Pumpkin Spice and a Buttermilk Herb Ranch Blend. All my blends are proprietary and are always natural, with no additives, fillers or synthetic chemicals.” You can also check out Sheryl’s spices at her Facebook page, Joy in the Garden. She often shares delicious recipes there as well.
Amanda McBride with Party Animal Balloons will also be set up for the big event. Party Animal Balloons offer some very special and unique balloons that you won’t find anywhere else. These are just a few of the specialty vendors that will be at the show. You will also find various handmade jewelry vendors, wreaths, tumblers, home décor, dog and cat accessories, resin art makers, purses, candles and lots of sweets and treats. Saylors Reef will be hosting the kitchen and will offer a variety of wraps, burgers, nachos and dips, tacos and quesadillas.
“Our shows are always family friends, and we provide a child safe environment. There will be faith-based children’s items located on the main stage area for free. We also will have a raffle for a Ninja Air Fryer Pro 4-in-1 and all profits from the raffle will go to Walk-FM radio ministries.” Heffner concluded.
