Get ready to don your bibs and dancing shoes—Safe Harbor’s Lobster Fest is clawing its way back for its 18th annual celebration! Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 23, 2025, when Bellefonte Country Club will once again transform into a glittering sea of generosity, gourmet cuisine, and toe-tapping tunes.
From 6:30 p.m. to midnight, guests will enjoy a night of coastal flair and community care—all in support of Safe Harbor, the incredible nonprofit that provides shelter and support to survivors of domestic violence throughout the FIVCO area.
This year’s bash is extra special: proceeds will help fund a brand-new art studio for survivors, adding healing creativity to the list of transformative resources on Safe Harbor’s 20-acre campus, which now includes a 60-bed Emergency Shelter, a 30-bed Transitional Shelter, and 34 apartments.
Co-hosted by Safe Harbor and the Boyd County Medical Alliance, with Ann Perkins (executive director and chair of the event) at the helm, this year's Lobster Fest is set to make a splash.
The charismatic John Elam will emcee and auctioneer the live auction—so bring your competitive spirit and your wallet! Don’t miss the dazzling Gem Scoop sponsored by Pollock’s Jewelers, a hit every year, and a fabulous silent auction packed with goodies.
For the first time ever, The Party Bus Band will keep the dance floor rocking long into the night. This band knows how to throw a party—and they’re ready to bring the house (or tent) down.
Get ready to indulge in a culinary experience that’s as unforgettable as the cause it supports! The master chefs at Bellefonte Country Club are serving up a feast fit for foodies, starting with mouthwatering entrée options like succulent Surf & Turf (lobster tail and filet mignon with herb butter), a tender filet mignon, or a rich, comforting vegetarian lasagna layered with butternut squash, spinach, and ricotta—all gluten-free. On the side? A decadent twice-baked potato loaded with aged cheddar, crispy bacon, and chives, plus roasted Brussels sprouts kissed with balsamic glaze. Kick off the evening with an irresistible raw bar featuring ahi tuna poke, shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon, oysters, and a gourmet cheese and fruit board. And for the grand finale? A tangy, refreshing key lime tart that’s the perfect sweet ending to a night of flavor and fun!

Seats are $200 per person, and they’re selling faster than hot buttered lobster rolls. To reserve yours, contact Linda Day at 606.329.9304 or lday@safeharborky.org. Hurry—this event is reservation only and space is limited!
“This event has transformed what we can offer survivors,” says Ann Perkins. “Thanks to the community and the Medical Alliance, we’ve expanded and renovated critical spaces at our shelter. Now, we’re thrilled to create an art studio where healing can begin through expression and creativity.”
