People may recognize Noah Thompson as the winner of American Idol Season 20 (2022) and the artist behind the hit song “One Day Tonight,” but the version of Noah they know is only part of the story. Now that he's more comfortable with revealing all his layers, Noah is ready to share who he was, who he is, and who he’s becoming. With a deep commitment to being both a great father and an exceptional artist, he’s not content with just sitting back and waiting for opportunities—he’s determined to create his own.
Thompson has undergone significant changes in both his personal and professional life. Personally, he’s a proud father to his three-year-old son, Walker, whose presence motivates every decision he makes. Recently, Thompson had the chance to reconnect with his roots by returning to the small town of Louisa, Kentucky. There, he delivered an unforgettable performance for the local community. “I come from a small town, out in Louisa, KY, and being able to come back home or visit similar small towns means so much to me,” Thompson shared. “I moved to Nashville about three or so years ago, but before that, I had lived in a small town my whole life. So anytime I get the opportunity to visit a small town, put on a show, and meet the people, I’m just all for it.”

Teaming up with Nightmare Promotions and the El Hasa Shriners Temple, Thompson put on an incredible show on Saturday night that left everyone buzzing with excitement. The night kicked off with some great sets from the opening acts Devin Moore and the Johnathan Cox Band and ended with the one only Noah Thompson. JL Mick, Potentate 2025 for the El Hasa Shriners, spoke about the event’s significance, saying, “Events such as these are a real gem for our community. Being able to put on events like this really lets people know the cause that we work for. We donate a portion of everything we do here to the Dayton Shriners Hospital for Children. We are lucky to have him (Noah) here, along with Nightmare Productions, helping us do more and support the flood victims down in Eastern Kentucky.”
Thanks to the efforts of Nightmare Promotions and Noah Thompson, the special concert at the El Hasa Shriners Temple was a massive success. Not only did it raise significant funds for meaningful causes, such as the Shriners Children’s Hospital in Dayton, but it also provided direct aid to victims of the recent flooding in Eastern Kentucky. In fact, Nightmare Promotions and Noah Thompson teamed up to raffle off a signed guitar, with all proceeds from the raffle going directly to help the flood victims. “It’s really nice for me to be able to play a small part in what they’re doing here, and I am honored to be able to help out,” Thompson expressed.

“Our mission at Shriners Hospitals for Children is to provide compassionate, innovative care that improves the quality of life for children and their families,” explained Mick. “We are dedicated to offering this care regardless of a family’s ability to pay or insurance status. Our hospitals are a beacon of hope, transforming the lives of countless children through medical expertise, advanced technology, and a commitment to holistic care. Each day, our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure that every child receives the best possible treatment, fostering an environment of healing and support. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can continue to build a brighter future for the children we serve.”
Mike Sark, Founder and Owner of Nightmare Promotions, shared his passion for bringing amazing experiences to communities: “My goal is to bring big vibes, big feelings, and big shows to Ashland and other places that people aren’t really expecting. We bring the whole package—the lights, the sound, the acts. We love seeing the crowd react and have a good time.”

With the event’s success, JL Mick expressed his deep gratitude: “It is such an honor to be a Shriner. It is an absolute honor to be Potentate 2025, and I want to thank everyone who made this possible and everyone who came out here to support our cause. We couldn’t have done it without you.”
The event was a powerful example of how communities can come together to make a difference, and it’s clear that Noah Thompson, Nightmare Promotions, and the El Hasa Shriners Temple have shown what true heart, and dedication can do for those in need. With funds raised for the flood victims and a joyful celebration of music, the night was a shining example of what happens when people unite for a cause greater than themselves.
