Get ready to channel your inner leprechaun and maybe even walk away $5,000 richer! Holy Family Catholic School is hosting its 16th Annual Luck o’ the Irish Reverse Raffle & Silent Auction on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Ashland Elks Lodge from 7:00 p.m. to midnight.

Tickets are $100 each, and each one admits two people to the party while entering you into the raffle. Only 300 tickets are sold, making it an exclusive and highly anticipated event in the Ashland area. The last ticket drawn will take home the $5,000 grand prize, but you don’t need to be present to win—though attending promises a night filled with dancing, drinks, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and a lively silent auction.

This event is more than just a party; it’s a long-standing tradition that brings together the Holy Family community and supporters from across the region. “It’s truly an incredible opportunity to have fun while supporting the students at Holy Family Catholic School,” shared Rhonda Berginnis-Suman, Director of Development for Holy Family Catholic School.

Berginnis-Suman has been instrumental in making the Luck o’ the Irish event a success. “I was one of the original organizers and have led this event for 12 of its 16 years,” Berginnis-Suman said. “It’s always been an incredible way for the community to come together and support our students.”

Her connection to the school and parish runs deep. Berginnis-Suman noted, “I’ve been affiliated with the school and church since 2006. I worked at the school in a marketing and fundraising capacity from 2010 to 2018. I took a four-year break to focus on my kids and their busy schedules. I did the stay-at-home mom routine for four years and was rehired in 2022 as Director of Development.”

This year’s event carries a special note of remembrance. Connie McCullough, a long-time champion of the raffle, passed away in September 2025. “From the beginning, she was my top ticket seller and reached out to the community, always selling at least 50 tickets to people who weren’t necessarily affiliated with the church or school,” Berginnis-Suman said. “She always went above and beyond in her support of this party and was excellent at community outreach.”

In honor of McCullough, the school has established The Connie McCullough Memorial Scholarship. “This will be an annual scholarship awarded to one Holy Family student at the end of each school year,” Berginnis-Suman explained. “Connie will definitely be missed this year and in years to come. The scholarship is a way we can keep her memory and massive contribution to this endeavor alive.”

The Luck o’ the Irish event is not just about the raffle. Guests will enjoy a silent auction featuring a variety of items, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and drinks throughout the evening. Attendees can dance, mingle, and celebrate while knowing their participation directly benefits the students at Holy Family Catholic School.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the school office at 606.324.7040 or contacting Berginnis-Suman directly at 606.922.3798 (call or text). With only 300 tickets available, it’s important to act quickly—this is a sellout event every year. Even if you cannot attend, purchasing a ticket still makes you eligible for monetary prizes, giving everyone a chance to strike it lucky.

Whether you’re a longtime supporter of Holy Family or new to the community, the Luck o’ the Irish Reverse Raffle & Silent Auction promises an unforgettable night. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of giving, enjoy a festive atmosphere, and maybe even take home the $5,000 grand prize. “It’s truly a night where fun, community, and philanthropy come together,” Berginnis-Suman declared.

For more information, or to reserve your ticket, contact Holy Family Catholic School or Rhonda Berginnis-Suman today. Don’t miss your chance to be part of one of Ashland’s most cherished annual traditions!
