Milk & Honey Services Brings Quality,

Craftsmanship, and Vision to the Tri-State

When homeowners need a contractor they can trust, they often look for three things: quality workmanship, reliability, and integrity. For Shawn Parsons, owner of Milk & Honey Services, those qualities aren't just part of the business model—they are the foundation upon which the company was built.

The name "Milk & Honey Services" carries a deeper meaning than many might realize. Inspired by the biblical phrase representing God's provision, blessing, and grace, the company name reflects Parsons' commitment to serving others while building something lasting for his family, customers, and community.

The name Milk & Honey Services actually ties back to the Bible and has a symbolic meaning. It represents divine blessing—God's ultimate provision and grace.

That sense of purpose can be seen in every project the company undertakes. From brand-new home construction and complete remodels to excavation work, French drains, drywall installation, fencing, and virtually every type of residential improvement, Milk & Honey Services has quickly established itself as a one-stop solution for homeowners throughout the region.

"We offer true Amish craftsmanship," Parsons said. "We do everything from new builds, excavation work, French drains, drywall, fencing of any kind—literally everything related to your home. We have electricians and plumbers we subcontract as well."

The emphasis on quality craftsmanship has become one of the company's defining characteristics. By working alongside skilled Amish framers and trusted subcontractors, Milk & Honey Services delivers projects that combine attention to detail with lasting durability. But Parsons' story is about much more than construction.

Like many people in Appalachia, Parsons faced uncertainty early in his career. He experienced multiple plant closures before the age of 30 and found himself searching for a new path forward. Rather than allowing setbacks to define him, he chose to reinvent himself through hard work, determination, and self-education.

"I went to electrical school when the mill closed down," Parsons recalled. "Then I decided I was going to start investing in something else. I got into detailing cars while buying and selling vehicles. I saved my money and dove into real estate, educating myself along the way."

Through the years, Parsons taught himself the complexities of real estate investing, tax codes, financial management, and business operations. That relentless pursuit of knowledge eventually led to the creation of several successful business ventures, including Milk & Honey Properties, Nest Egg, Sunset Properties 168, and Milk & Honey Services.

Today, his portfolio includes nearly 100 rental properties and a growing construction company that continues to expand across the Tri-State area.

What truly sets Parsons apart, however, is his passion for helping others succeed. He frequently mentors aspiring entrepreneurs and encourages people to pursue opportunities they may otherwise overlook.

"We only get one chance at life," Parsons said. "You have to be willing to take risks and learn from mistakes. Don't be afraid to chase your dreams."

That mindset extends to his customers as well. Whether solving unexpected construction challenges, managing complex renovations, or helping homeowners bring their vision to life, Parsons approaches every project with a problem-solving attitude and a commitment to delivering results.

Looking ahead, his ambitions remain as strong as ever. "I hope to be one of the largest contractors in the Tri-State," he said. "I want to get into development for myself and start building subdivisions."

One upcoming project holds special meaning. Parsons plans to break ground on a new development near the site of his childhood home, helping revitalize a neighborhood that played a significant role in his own story.

For customers, that vision translates into confidence. Milk & Honey Services is more than a construction company—it is a business built on perseverance, faith, craftsmanship, and a genuine desire to improve the communities it serves.

Whether you're planning a new home, remodeling an existing property, installing fencing, tackling drainage issues, or beginning a major renovation, Milk & Honey Services offers the experience, resources, and dedication needed to get the job done right.
