The first snow flurries of the year are forecast for this week, making it the perfect time to begin your Christmas shopping. If you're searching for unique, one-of-a-kind, or handmade items, the Boyd County Convention Center is the place to be on Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15. The 7th Annual Boyd County Craft and Boutique Show will be open from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m.  to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The center will be bustling with activity early on Friday as vendors prepare to welcome the many shoppers who will visit during the two-day event. Show host Tara Heffner began organizing events at the Boyd County Convention Center in 2019. She explains, “Our events are faith-based, and our goal is to direct each person to Christ, the only Savior of our world. We welcome everyone and share the gospel with those who join us. It is our hope that someone may give their heart to Jesus.”

Tara continues, “Nearly 80 crafters and boutique vendors are participating this year. We will offer a complimentary gift to the first 40 customers each day. The event will also feature a table with free Christian items.”

Many of the area’s most talented crafters and bakers will be at the show. Tammy Pruitt will be there with her famous sourdough and sweet treats. She will offer several sourdough bread flavors, including Pumpkin Spice, S’mores, Blueberry Lemon, Strawberry White Chocolate, and more, as well as cinnamon rolls and brown butter chocolate chip cookies.

If you’re shopping for something new to wear to your Christmas events, you’re in the right place. Kimberly McGinnis, owner of Grace Ann Faith Boutique, will have four spaces filled with women’s boutique clothing, jeans, T-shirts, and dresses in sizes 3–3X. Cassandra Lynn Boutique boasts a T-shirt bar where you can create your very own shirt—choose your custom design and have it made right at the show! This boutique also features beautiful wreaths. Mom & Me Tees will have approximately 200 different designs on hand to create the perfect T-shirt, sweatshirt, or canvas bag for you. These are just three of the booths offering clothing options.

It’s definitely time to get your home decorated for Christmas. Be sure to stop by the Kountry Kraft Barn and say hello to Kimberly Howard while checking out her primitive wood décor, wreaths, ornaments, jams, jellies, candles, and more. Donna Hicks with Sherwood Forest Crafts will also offer Christmas décor and hand-sewn gifts.

When Tara says there’s something for everyone, she means it. Melinda Warren with Paws A Wow has a complete line of items for our furry friends, so they can look their best for the holidays too.

You’re sure to work up an appetite and need a quick break from all the shopping. B&T’s Food Truck will be ready to satisfy that craving! B&T’s is a farm-to-table food truck owned by Bryan and Tabby Powell. Rumor has it their meatball sub is out of this world.

Arrive early and enjoy shopping all day this Friday and Saturday at the 7th Annual Craft and Boutique Show. The Boyd County Convention Center is located at 15605 State Route 180, near the Flying J. The event is free and open to everyone. Make lasting memories with family and friends—it’s the season for joy!
