There’s something special about downtown Ashland at Christmastime—the glow of the lights, the excitement in the air, and now, a brand-new shopping destination that promises to make holiday gifting easier and sweeter than ever. Just in time for the busiest shopping season of the year, Small Fries children’s boutique has officially opened its doors inside the Merle Norman store at 1505 Carter Ave. And if you’re searching for the perfect present for a newborn, toddler, or mom-to-be, this charming new shop may be exactly what lands your holiday list on the “done” pile.

Searching for clothing for infants and toddlers? Trying to find the ideal gift for a new or expecting mother? Every year, storefronts fill with smiling families waiting for their turn to purchase the perfect gift for loved ones. The choices we make during this season carry meaning, as we exchange tokens of care and celebration. From sports equipment to shoes, every gift is chosen with someone special in mind. Now, mothers, newborns, and toddlers have a new store in town that may be the perfect match for your holiday shopping list.

Small Fries offers a wide selection for newborns, infants, toddlers, and new or expecting mothers. Whether you're looking for something to keep baby bundled or a gift to comfort mom as she rocks her little one into the New Year, you may find just what you're searching for. Blankets, throws, maternity wear, nursery décor, cups, matching pajamas for mom and baby, birthday-themed outfits, accessories, and holiday decorations are all ready for shoppers. With brands like Mary Square, Sweet Wink, Rugged Butts, Ruffle Butts, and Caden Lane, holiday shopping may be easier than ever with this one-stop boutique.

Centered in the vibrant downtown area of Ashland, Kentucky, Small Fries and Merle Norman shine within the glow of Christmas lights strung through the arts district. Visitors strolling through the area will find a collection of boutiques and shops—many of which may lead them straight to this new children’s boutique. A mother–daughter team from the Wolf Family brought Small Fries to life, inspired by their many years serving the Tri-State through their McDonald’s establishments. The opening of Merle Norman further influenced their desire to offer something special for mothers and children in the community. While many stores offer options for growing families, few offer such a carefully curated variety for newborns, infants, and new mothers. With new families in mind, Sherry Wolf expanded her offerings to cater to both mom and baby.

If you’re searching for cosmetics and also need something for the newest members of the family, Small Fries provides the perfect dual-shop experience. Shoppers can seamlessly drift from cosmetics to swaddles, from lotions to little leggings, all in one location. This year, you can send your loved ones into the holiday festivities in style with a single visit. To top it all off, Small Fries will be giving away coupons with purchases for free small fries at local McDonald’s locations—a fun nod to the Wolf Family’s long-standing connection to the community.

Toys, clothes, cosmetics, and hand-selected gifts await at Small Fries, just in time for Pink Week, Black Friday, and all the joyful holiday moments to come.
