64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 3-2

Ashland went 1-1 this week with a win over Greenup and a loss to Lewis County.

 

Ashland fell to Lewis, 12-11 in eight innings. Drew Kelley went 3 for 4 with an RBI in the loss. Brady Marushi and Asher Moore doubled. Pierce Wamsley and Chandler Kisor each drove in a pair of runs.

 

Ashland bounced back with a 9-8 win over Greenup in eight innings. LJ Murphy went 4 for 6 at the dish with a triple and RBI. Kelley went 3 for 4 with a double and 2RBI. Marushi added a double and 2RBI.

 

Ashland heads to Myrtle Beach for spring break baseball at the Cal Ripken Experience.

 

BOYD COUNTY 2-2

 

Boyd fell to Greenup, 9-7. Caleb Gray, Alex Maynard and Brogan Jones each had a pair of hits. Maynard and Jones each drove in a pair. Grant Slater, Gray and Jones added doubles.

 

Boyd heads to Myrtle Beach for spring break baseball at the Cal Ripken Experience.

 

FAIRVIEW 2-3

 

Fairview went 1-2 this week with a win over Elliott County in the All “A” Classic and losses to Morgan County and East Carter, 11-1.

 

Mason LeMaster tossed a one hitter in Fairview’s 18-0 win over Elliott in three innings. Tevin Smith drove in three with a double. Eli Cummings, Tanner Reihs, Xavien Kouns and LeMaster each drove in a run.

 

Fairview fell to Morgan, 3-2 in eight innings. Jace Manning worked seven innings in a no decision while allowing only two hits and struck out nine. Landon Stapleton led the offense with a double and 2RBI. LeMaster also drove in a run.

63rd DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 3-3

Greenup went 1-1 this week with a 9-7 win over Boyd and a 9-8 loss to Ashland in eight innings.

 

Ty Logan went 3 for 4 and drove in a run in the win over Boyd. Sawyer Hatfield and Brody Howard each had a pair of hits. Howard doubled and drove in two. Colin Alexander drove in two.

 

Kasey Gammon went 3 for 4 in the loss to Ashland. Gavin Roy drove in three with a double. Alexander and Logan each added an RBI.

 

Greenup heads to Vero Beach for spring break baseball at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex.

 

RACELAND 4-1

 

Raceland went 3-0 this week with wins over West Carter and Morgan County in the All “A” Classic followed by a win over Fairland.

 

Raceland knocked off West Carter, 14-4 in six innings. Parker Ison went 4 for 5 with 5RBI in the win. Connor Thacker smashed two home runs and drove in three. Cade Coldiron had a double.

 

Raceland dumped Morgan 15-0 in three innings. Michael Pennington went 3 for 3 with a double, triple and 5RBI. Landon Bloss and Ison each added two hits.

 

Kadin Shore went 3 for 4 with 4RBI and a double in the Rams 12-2 win over Fairland in six innings. Brigham Davidson added two hits with a double. Eli Lynd had a pair of doubles and drove in two. Ison also added a pair of hits.

RUSSELL 6-1

 

Russell went 3-1 this week with wins over Lawrence, Morgan, 12-3, Model, 12-1 and a 7-5 loss to Rowan County.

 

Kyle Mokas tossed five innings of two hit baseball in a 6-4 win over Lawrence. He struck out eight. Elijah Hankins and Grayson Kiser went 2 for 3 with a double. Kiser drove in two.  Caden Criswell homered in the win.
