64TH DISTRICT


ASHLAND 18-8

Ashland went 2-1 this week with wins over Raceland and Bell County (68-62) and a 75-74 loss to Lawrence County.

Ashland defeated Raceland, 66-54. Caleb Clarke led the Tomcats with 27 points. Drew Smith tossed in 25.

Ashland will play the winner of Boyd County and Fairview, Thursday night in the 64th District Championship.


BOYD COUNTY 24-6

Boyd went 4-0 this week with wins over Huntington Expression Prep, George Washington, Elliott County and Montgomery County (87-75).

Boyd routed Huntington Prep, 102-80. Jacob Spurlock paced the Lions with 29 points and 15 rebounds. Malachi Payne added 22. Gunner Woods had 18. Ethan Rardon tossed in 15. Caleb Rimmer finished with 12.

Boyd needed overtime to get past GW, 91-90. Spurlock had 31 points and 10 rebounds in the win while breaking the boys all-time scoring record for the 16th region. Payne finished with 22. Woods had 13. Clark Huff and Rimmer added 10.

Boyd dropped Elliott, 87-79. Payne had 34. Spurlock netted 22 and grabbed 11 rebounds. Huff had 15.

Boyd meets Fairview Monday night in the opening round of the 64th District Tournament.


FAIRVIEW 2-19

Fairview went 0-3 this week with losses to Bath County, Tolsia and West Carter (80-34).

Fairview fell to Bath, 79-50. Jace Gibbs and Julius Smith had 13.

Fairview lost to Tolsia, 72-39. Gibbs had 10.

Fairview meets Boyd Monday night in the opening round of the 64th District Tournament.


63RD DISTRICT


GREENUP COUNTY 9-17

Greenup went 1-2 this week with a 60-39 win over Mason County and losses to West Carter and Lucasville Valley.

Greenup came up short to West Carter, 57-55. Kasey Gammon had 19. Hunter Holbrook added 12. Gavin Roy added 11.

Greenup fell to Valley, 57-38. Bradley Adkins had eight.

Greenup meets Russell Tuesday night in the opening round of the 63rd District Tournament.


RACELAND 18-10

Raceland went 2-1 this week with wins over Lewis County and Nicholas County and a loss to Ashland.

Raceland defeated Lewis County, 62-49. Charles Welch led the Rams with 22 points while going 4 for 4 from downtown. Jake Waller added 17. Eli Caines grabbed 10 rebounds.

Raceland came up short to Ashland, 66-54. Jonah Arnett had 16 in the loss. Welch kicked in 12.

Raceland will meet Lewis County Wednesday night at Russell in the opening round of the 63rd District Tournament.


RUSSELL 19-5

Russell went 2-0 this week with wins over East Carter and Rowan County.

Russell knocked off East, 72-55. Ryder Burgess had 26 in the win. Gabe Pridemore finished with 13. Tyler Cordial had 12. Corbin McGrath finished with 11. Kaiden Benge grabbed 12 rebounds.

Russell defeated Rowan, 72-57. Cordial had 19 points and 10 rebounds. Burgess netted 13. Pridemore had 12.

Russell meets Greenup Tuesday night in the opening round of the 63rd District Tournament.
