64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 13-5

Ashland went 2-0 this week and has won 10 consecutive with wins over Pike County Central and Pikeville (79-60).

 

Caleb Clarke led the Tomcats with 19 points and nine rebounds in a 69-36 win over Pike County Central. Zander Carter kicked in 15 and grabbed eight rebounds.

 

Tyson LaLonde hit five threes and had a game-high 28 points in the win over Pikeville. Carter added 23.

 

Ashland welcomes Boyd County Friday night.

 






BOYD COUNTY 9-8

 

Boyd County went 2-0 this week with blowout wins over Rowan County and Morgan County.

 

Boyd hammered Rowan, 84-45. Jacob Spurlock paced the Lions with 29 behind seven triples. Cole Hicks poured in 20 with six 3s. Jackson Childers rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12.

 

Boyd defeated Morgan, 72-53. Hicks and Spurlock each had 19 while Spurlock grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. Childers kicked in 18. Rhett Holbrook added 11 in his return from injury.

 

Boyd visits Fairview Monday, West Carter Tuesday, Ashland Friday and welcome Huntington Expression Prep Saturday.

 

FAIRVIEW 4-13

 

Fairview went 1-2 this week with a win over Scioto Christian and losses to Phelps (85-50) and New Boston (66-41).

 

Fairview routed Scioto Christian, 83-23. Roman Mayes led the way with 21 points. Eli Shope added 18. Tevin Smith had 10.

 

Fairview welcomes Boyd Monday and Menifee County Friday.

 

63RD DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 5-11

 

Greenup fell 52-35 in their only game this week to Portsmouth Notre Dame. Kasey Gammon leads the Musketeers averaging 14.9 points a game followed by Bryson Chandley at 11.8.

 

Greenup visits Lewis Monday for a 63rd District tilt, welcomes Wheelersburg Tuesday, East Carter Thursday and New Boston Saturday.

 

RACELAND 14-5

 

Raceland went 2-1 this week with wins over Menifee County and Phelps and a loss to Chesapeake.

 

Reece Hicks had 12 points in Raceland’s 66-37 loss to Chesapeake.

 

Raceland bounced back with a 57-38 win over Menifee. Connor Thacker had 21 in the win. Jake Waller added 16.

 

Raceland capped off the week with an 88-71 win over Phelps. Jonah Arnett dropped 30 in the win while going 7 of 9 from long range. Tre Douglas added 12 with four triples. Charles Welch netted 12. Waller had 10. Thacker led the way on the glass with 14 rebounds.

 

Raceland welcomes Lewis Wednesday to start 63d District play, visits Russell Friday and Fleming County Saturday.

 

RUSSELL 7-8

 

Russell fell 57-52 in their only game this week. Gabe Pridemore led the Devils with 19 points while connecting on 5 of 8 threes. Ryder Burgess had 16 and was 4 of 8 from long distance. Tyler Cordial grabbed 10 rebounds off the bench.

 

Russell heads to Fleming Tuesday, welcomes Raceland Friday and visits Paintsville Saturday.
