64th District

ASHLAND 8-7

Ashland went 1-1 this week with an 82-48 loss to Sacred Heart and a 64-47 win over Bullitt East. Kenleigh Woods was the only starter in double figures against Sacred Heart with 19 points. Aryanna Gulley led the Kittens with 16 in the win over Bullitt East and Woods added 11.

Ashland welcomes West Jessamine Saturday in the Kitten Classic.

BOYD COUNTY 11-5

Boyd County went 1-1 this week with a win over Montgomery County and a loss to Rowan County in the Kentucky 2A Section 6 Championship.

Boyd fell to Rowan, 61-52. Kollyn Groves netted 15 in the loss while going 5 of 8 from long distance. Jada Ray added 14. Sophia Stevens kicked in10.

Boyd bounced back with a 53-47 win over Montgomery County. Groves and Stevens led the way with 16 each. Bella Opell added 14.

Boyd welcomes West Carter Tuesday and visits Russell Friday.

FAIRVIEW 3-14

Fairview went 2-2 this week with wins over Scioto Christian and Portsmouth East and losses to West Carter and Rock Hill.

Fairview defeated Scioto Christian, 40-4. Madison Loving had 17 in the win. Bre Moore poured in 13. Emma Pierce had 10.

Fairview fell to Rock Hill, 57-27. Loving led the way with nine.

Fairview bounced back with a 42-39 win over Portsmouth East. Pierce led the Eagles with 13. Moore had 10.

Fairview welcomes Coal Grove Monday, Scioto Christian Tuesday and visits New Boston Saturday.

63rd DISTRICT

GREENUP COUNTY 1-12

Greenup went 0-2 this week with losses to Russell and Chesapeake.

Greenup fell to Russell, 55-31. Maddy Steele had nine points in the loss.

Greenup fell to Chesapeake, 59-36. Addison Branim led the way with 15 points.

Greenup visits Lewis Monday, welcomes Lewis Wednesday, visits New Boston Thursday and Prestonsburg Saturday.



RACELAND 8-8

Raceland went 1-2 this week with a win over Elliott County and losses to Menifee County and Russell.

Raceland defeated Elliott County, 65-4. Sydney Childers led the way with 13 points. Laura Short added 12. Emma Broughton had 10.

Raceland fell to Menifee, 50-41 in the All “A” Classic semifinals. Brooke Campbell paced the Rams with 10 points and nine rebounds.

Raceland fell to Russell, 57-51. Broughton led the way with 21 points while going 5 of 8 from downtown. Nim Maynard added 20 to pass Kirk Pence as the All-Time Leading Scorer in school history.

Raceland visits Martin County Monday, welcomes South Point Tuesday and Elliott County Saturday.

RUSSELL 13-3

Russell went 3-0 this week with wins over Greenup, Fleming and Raceland.

Russell knocked off Greenup, 55-31. Kennedy Darnell had 20 points in the win. Gabby Oborne added 15.

Russell defeated Fleming, 51-36. Darnell and Oborne each had 15. Kenley Kouns pulled down 10 rebounds.

Russell held off an upset minded Raceland for a 57-51 win to run their streak to 72 games won over 63rd District opponents. Oborne went off for 37 points while scoring 27 of the Devils 31 at the half.

Russell welcomes Boyd Friday and plays Knott County Central Saturday in the Kitten Classic at Ashland.
