64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 4-5

Ashland went 2-1 this week with wins over Corbin, 70-68 and Minford, 43-28 and a 67-40 loss to North Laurel.

 

Brookelyn Duckwyler had 17 points in the loss to North Laurel. Alexia Troxler had 13 rebounds.

 

Emilee Neese led the Kittens with 22 points in the win over Corbin. Neese connected on her first four three-point attempts. Kenleigh Woods, playing in her first game this season, had 14 points including the game-winner with six seconds left in regulation.

 

Duckwyler had 17 points in the win over Minford. Jenna Delaney and Neese added nine.

 

Ashland was scheduled to meet Boyd Monday and welcomes North Laurel Saturday.

 

BOYD COUNTY 9-3

Boyd County has won five straight including a 71-60 win over Raceland and 57-45 win over Bath County in the Kentucky 2A.

 

Kollyn Groves led the Lions with 17 points in the win over Raceland. She connected on five triples. Bella Opell had 16 points. Jada Ray and Sophia Stevens had 15 each. Stevens grabbed 12 rebounds.

 

Ray paced the Lions with 17 points in the win over Bath. Groves had 15. Stevens added 14.

 

Boyd was scheduled to welcome Ashland Monday and plays Estill County Tuesday at Rowan County in the Kentucky 2A.

 

FAIRVIEW 1-11

 

Fairview was idle this week. The Eagles will play West Carter Tuesday in the All “A” Classic and welcome Chesapeake Saturday.

 

63rd DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 1-10

 

Greenup went 0-2 this week with losses to Bath County, 41-33 and Rowan County, 73-35 in the Kentucky 2A.

 

Maddy Steele led the Musketeers with 16 points and 18 rebounds in the loss to Bath.

 

Greenup welcomes South Point Monday, Lewis County Tuesday, visits Chesapeake Wednesday, welcomes Russell Friday and Bath County Saturday.

 

RACELAND 7-5

Raceland went 1-1 this week with a 71-60 loss to Boyd County and a 55-35 win over Lewis.

 

Nim Maynard led the Rams with 21 points in the loss to Boyd. Allayson Rigsby kicked in 16. Emma Broughton had 14.

 

Broughton led the Rams with 19 points in the win over Lewis. Rigsby had 14 points and 12 rebounds.

 

Raceland plays Morgan County Tuesday in the All “A” Classic.

 


RUSSELL 10-3

 

Russell went 2-0 this week with a 53-34 win over Lewis and 57-26 win over Portsmouth Notre Dame.

 

Kennedy Darnell led the Devils with 19 points in the win over Lewis. Bethany Allen had 15 points and 11 rebounds.

 

Gabby Oborne paced Russell with 24 points in the win over Notre Dame.

 

Russell visits East Carter Tuesday, Greenup County Friday and Huntington St. Joe Saturday.
