ASHLAND 20-4
Ashland went 3-1 this week with wins over Portsmouth, Paintsville and Russell with a 59-52 loss to South Laurel.
Ashland outlasted Portsmouth in overtime, 65-63. Brookelyn Duckwyler led the way with 34 including the game winner as time expired in overtime. Gabby Karle poured in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Addison Wolfe hit a three with four seconds left in regulation to tie the game and finished with nine points.
Ashland defeated Paintsville, 52-42. Karle led the way with 14. Aryanna Gulley and Duckwyler had 12. Alexis Troxler had nine points and 10 rebounds.
Ashland knocked off Russell, 57-42. Gulley had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Duckwyler also had 12 points. Karle finished with 11.
Ashland visits Pikeville Monday, welcomes Huntington Prep Wednesday, visits Montgomery County Thursday and welcomes Johnson Central Friday.
BOYD COUNTY 14-9
Boyd went 3-1 this week with wins over Menifee County, Hurricane and Parkersburg with a loss to Huntington Prep.
Boyd fell to Huntington Prep, 58-52. Jada Ray led the way with 25 points. Kollyn Groves added 13.
Boyd hammered Menifee County, 89-55. Ray paced the Lions with 26 points with six triples. Groves had 21 points and 10 rebounds. Chandler Blankenship finished with 11. Carley Boyd netted six and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Boyd defeated Hurricane, 75-57. Ray had 28 in the win. Groves tossed in 24. Boyd had 13.
Boyd closed the week with a 69-48 win over Parkersburg. Ray finished with 33 points while going 6 of 8 from long range. Boyd had 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Boyd visits Russell Monday, Nitro Tuesday and Johnson Central Thursday.
FAIRVIEW 9-13
Fairview went 2-1 this week with wins over Scioto Northwest and Point Pleasant and a loss to Shelby County.
Fairview defeated Scioto Northwest, 46-31. Emma Pierce had 23 in the win. Madison Loving finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Fairview took a 48-36 decision over Point Pleasant. Pierce had 21 in the win. Loving finished with 15 points and 17 rebounds.
Fairview fell to Shelby County, 51-37. Loving led the way with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Pierce added 12.
Fairview visits Raceland Monday, Lewis County Thursday and Bath County Friday.
63RD DISTRICT
GREENUP COUNTY 8-15
Greenup County went 1-2 this week with a win over Lewis County and losses to Raceland and Fleming County.
Greenup knocked off Lewis, 53-40. Dharia Crum and Maddy Steele each had 15 points. Addi Branim grabbed 10 rebounds.
Greenup fell to Raceland, 59-37. Steele had 12 in the loss. Crum added 10.
Greenup came up short to Fleming, 78-69. Steele poured in a career-high 35 points and grabbed 20 rebounds. Tenley Melvin added 10. Branim grabbed 13 rebounds.
Greenup visits East Carter Monday, welcomes Russell Tuesday and visits Rowan Thursday.
RACELAND 14-11
Raceland went 3-1 this week with wins over West Carter, Greenup County and Portsmouth Notre Dame with a loss to Russell.
Raceland fell to Russell, 54-28. Nim Maynard had 11 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Annie Lyon grabbed 10 rebounds.
Raceland bounced back with a 58-47 win over West Carter. Nim Maynard had 28 points with 12 rebounds. Sydney Childers added 11. Addi Thornburg kicked in 10. Lyon grabbed 11 rebounds.
Raceland dropped Greenup, 59-37. Nim Maynard broke the school for most points in a contest with 42.
Raceland closed the week with a 53-37 win over Notre Dame. Maynard had 29 points and 14 rebounds in the win. Childers finished with 14.
RUSSELL 19-7
Russell went 3-1 this week with wins over Raceland, Lewis County and Bath County (67-23) and a loss to Ashland.
Russell pulled away from Raceland, 54-28. Lily Ervin had 23 in the win. Kennedy Darnell added 12.
Russell defeated Lewis County, 59-19. Kenley Kouns had 15 in the win. Gabby Oborne added 10.
Russell fell to Ashland, 57-42. Kouns had 16 in the loss. Darnell added 14.
Russell welcomes Boyd Monday, visits Greenup Tuesday and welcomes Rowan County Wednesday.
