ASHLAND 2-1-1


Ashland went 1-1 this week with a 7-0 win over Fleming County and a 4-0 loss to Huntington.

Daen Young collected three goals in the win over Fleming. Silas Pierzala added three assists and netted a goal as well. Max McAlister kicked in two assists. Casey Steele, Nick Grabus and Zac Johnson finished with a goal. Maxx Brown and Tanner Abb combined for the shutout in net.

Ashland welcomes East Carter Monday, visits Ironton St. Joe Thursday, Warren Central Saturday and Bowling Green Sunday.


BOYD COUNTY 2-1


Boyd picked up a 2-1 win over Spring Valley in their only contest this week. Ryan Roberson netted the game-winning goal off an assist from Eli Simpkins in the 68th minute of action. Caleb Clark delivered the first goal of the match in the eighth minute. Conner Davis tallied 10 saves in goal.

Boyd welcomes Mason County Tuesday in the Class 2A opening round and entertains Fleming County Thursday.


RUSSELL 6-1


Russell went 2-0 this week with wins over Lawrence County, 6-0 and Ignite Christian, 6-0.

Brylee Mullins and Gavin Grandinson had hat tricks in the win over Lawrence. Mullins added a pair of assists. Trey Evans had an assist as well. Hayden Barlow finished with two saves in net.

Grandinson led the Devils with a pair of goals in their win over Ignite Christian. William Meadows had two assists. Ryder Prickett, Gunnar Hignite, Meadows and Mullins each netted goals.

Russell travels to East Carter Thursday.


GREENUP COUNTY 1-3-1


Greenup went 1-1 this week with an 8-2 win over Morgan County and a 3-0 loss to Menifee.

Josiah Beach, Brantley Snider and Carter Nunley each had a pair of goals in the win over Morgan. Landen Hedge and Isaiah Adkins kicked in a goal each. Owen Collier tallied seven saves in net.

Greenup welcomes Paintsville Tuesday and Portsmouth West on Saturday.
