64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 9-10

 

Ashland went 2-0 this week with wins over Boyd County and Spring Valley.

 

Ashland defeated Boyd, 9-6. Abby Lynch doubled and drove in two. Jenna Delaney homered and drove in three. Zoey Smith, Addi Laine and Brookelyn Duckwyler all doubled as well.

 

Ashland knocked off Spring Valley, 6-2. Delaney tripled and scored twice. Smith and Duckwyler doubled.

 

Ashland welcomes Wheelersburg Tuesday, visits East Carter Thursday, welcomes Cabell Midland Friday and Pike County Central Saturday.

 

BOYD COUNTY 16-10

 

Boyd went 3-2 this week with a pair of wins over Fairview and an 11-0 win over Conner followed by a pair of losses to Ashland and Frederick Douglass, 7-3.

 

Boyd defeated Fairview, 16-0 in three innings. Lacyn Black homered in the win. Kaylee May had a pair of hits and drove in three. Reagan Robbins doubled.

 

Boyd took Game 2, 14-0 in five innings. Robbins doubled and drove in three. Mkinzi Kouns and Jaycie Goad doubled. Goad drove in three.

 

Boyd fell to Ashland, 9-6. Savanna Henderson went 3 for 4 with an RBI. Brooke Jacobs had two doubles and an RBI.

 

Boyd visits Russell Thursday.

 

FAIRVIEW 6-8

 

Fairview went 1-3 this week with a win over Powell County and losses to Boyd and Huntington St. Joe.

 

Fairview fell in Game 1 to Boyd, 16-0. Zoe Grant and Bre Moore had the lone hits in the loss.

 

Fairview fell in Game 2, 14-0. Abygail Cox, Kailyn Adkins and Grant collected the three Eagles hits.

 

Fairview lost to St. Joe, 7-0. Madison Loving tripled in the loss.

 

Fairview closed the week with a 15-1 win over Powell County in three innings. The Eagles tallied 12 hits led by Sydney Johnson and Loving who had two a piece while driving in three runs. Moore added 3RBIs as well.

 

Fairview visits Hannan, WV Tuesday and West Carter Thursday.

 

63rd DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 15-3

 

Greenup went 3-0 this week with wins over Lawrence County, Cabell Midland and Russell.

 

Greenup knocked off Lawrence, 8-2. Maddy Steele went 3 for 4. Addy Branim and Laela Matthews went yard. Matthews also had a double and drove in four.

 

Greenup held off Cabell Midland, 5-4. Josey Kegley and Matthews homered in the win. Laiken Cooper doubled.

 

Greenup blanked Russell. 10-0 in five innings. Kegley struck out 12 while allowing only three hits. Charleigh Grayson and Kegley doubled in the win.

 

Greenup visits Lewis Monday, Mason County Tuesday, welcomes Fairland Thursday and visits Portsmouth West Friday.

 

RACELAND 16-5

 

Raceland went 4-1 this week with wins in the All “A” State Tournament over Somerset 12-6, Clinton County 1-0, Trinity Whitesville 2-0, Covington Holy Cross 15-0 and a 6-2 loss to Portsmouth Notre Dame.

 

Raceland visits Russell Tuesday, welcomes Lewis Thursday and Rock Hill Saturday.

 

RUSSELL 7-13

 

Russell went 1-2 this week with a win over Lucasville Valley and losses to Lewis County and Greenup, 10-0 in five innings.  

 

Russell fell to Lewis, 12-7. Ella Wilson went 3 for 4. Hadley Cook homered in her only hit while driving in two. Karson Honaker doubled.

 

Russell blanked Lucasville Valley, 7-0. Bella Hall and Ava Howard tripled. Averi Dean, Paige Hutchinson, Gabby Oborne and Cook doubled.

 

Russell welcomes Raceland Tuesday, Boyd County Thursday, visits GRC Friday and Tates Creek Saturday.
