64th DISTRICT

ASHLAND 15-13

Ashland went 2-0 this week with wins over Russell and Greenup.

Ashland knocked off Russell, 10-0 in five innings. Brookelyn Duckwyler went 3 for 4 with a pair of home runs and four RBIs. Zoey Smith also homered in the win.

Ashland shutout Greenup, 6-0. Addi Laine allowed only one hit over seven innings and struck out nine. Duckwyler hammered two home runs for four home runs in four straight at bats over two games and drove in five. Emma Pinson doubled.

Ashland meets Fairview Monday night in the opening round of the 64th District Tournament.

BOYD COUNTY 21-13

Boyd went 3-1 this week with wins over Johnson Central, Bath County and Raceland and a loss to Wheelersburg.

Boyd defeated Johnson Central, 5-4. Kyli Kouns went 2 for 4. Elyn Simpkins, Brooke Jacobs and Savanna Henderson doubled.

Boyd knocked off Bath, 8-2. Simpkins homered and drove in three. Jaycie Goad added a three-run home run as well. Myla Hamilton and Kouns doubled.

Boyd fell to Wheelersburg, 16-1. Kouns had a pair of hits. Grace Stephens drove in the lone run.

Boyd outlasted Raceland, 16-11. Jaycie Goad went 4 for 4 with a home run, double and two RBIs. Jacobs also homered and drove in five in the win.

Boyd awaits the winner of Ashland and Fairview in the 64th District Championship Tuesday night.

FAIRVIEW 9-14

Fairview defeated Morgan County, 19-8 in six innings. Kylie Parks went 3 for 3 with four RBIs. Madison Loving, Paige VanBibber and Kailyn Adkins drove in three. VanBibber and Adkins doubled.

Fairview meets Ashland Monday night in the 64th District Tournament at Boyd County.

63rd DISTRICT

GREENUP COUNTY 21-7

Greenup went 2-1 this week with wins over Rowan and Bath County and a loss to Ashland.

Greenup knocked off Rowan, 5-1. Josey Kegley fanned 14 in the win while allowing only four hits. Maddy Steele and Charleigh Grayson homered in the win. Grayson drove in three and Steele added two.

Greenup fell to Ashland, 6-0. Laiken Cooper had the lone hit in the loss.

Greenup closed the regular season with a 6-5 win over Bath. Madison Ross tripled and Adrian Wells had a double. Addy Branim and Ross drove in two runs.

Greenup meets Lewis County Monday night in the opening round of the 63rd District Tournament at Raceland.

RACELAND 20-8

Raceland went 1-2 this week with a win over Coal Grove and losses to East Carter and Boyd County, 16-11.

Raceland fell to East Carter, 7-0. Bryan Wellman, Davanna Grubb, Kali Vance and Carly Fannin delivered the lone hits in the loss.

Raceland knocked off Coal Grove, 1-0 in eight innings. Carly Fannin led off the eighth with a single and Wellman smacked a walk-off RBI double for the win. Grubb struck out three and allowed six hits and no runs in eight innings.

Raceland meets Russell Monday night in the opening round of the 63rd District Tournament at Raceland.

RUSSELL 9-15

Russell went 2-1 this week with wins over Fleming County and Paintsville, 11-1 and a loss to Ashland.

Russell defeated Fleming, 9-4. Hadley Cook had a pair of doubles and drove in three. Ava Howard doubled, tripled and drove in three. Ella Wilson added a double.

Russell fell to Ashland, 10-0 in five innings. Karson Honaker went 2 for 3 in the loss.

Russell meets Raceland Monday night in the opening round of the 63rd District Tournament at Raceland.
