64th DISTRICT

 

ASHLAND 9-17

 

Ashland went 0-2 this week with losses to Wheelersburg and Cabell Midland, 6-4.

 

Emma Pinson had the lone Kittens hit in the 3-0 loss to Wheelersburg. Jenna DeLaney hit her region leading 12th home run in the rain shorten loss to Cabell Midland.

 

Ashland welcomes Fairview Monday for a twin-bill, visits Johnson Central Tuesday and plays Notre Dame and Campbell County at Boyle County Saturday.

 

BOYD COUNTY 16-10

 

Boyd County faced Russell Thursday but the game was called in the second inning due to weather with the Lady Lions leading 1-0 on a Savanna Henderson home run.

 

Boyd County visits Rowan County Monday, welcomes Lawrence County Tuesday, Coal Grove Thursday, visits Central Hardin Friday and play South Warren and Henderson County in the Best of the West Saturday.

 

FAIRVIEW 6-9

 

Fairview was idle this week.

 

Fairview plays a twin bill at Ashland Monday, visits Martin County Tuesday, visits Elliott County Wednesday for two games and closes the regular season out Saturday at Cross Lanes Christian.

 

63rd DISTRICT

 

GREENUP COUNTY 16-3

 

Greenup County knocked off Lewis County, 5-0 in their only game this week. Josey Kegley fanned 12 while allowing only one hit. Adrian Wells went 2 for 4 with a double and RBI. Laiken Cooper smashed a home run. Maddy Steele singled and drove in a pair.

 

Greenup visits Coal Grove Monday, welcomes Portsmouth Notre Dame Tuesday, Raceland Thursday and plays Male, Tates Creek and Eastern at Tates Creek on Friday and Saturday.

 

RACELAND 16-6

 

Raceland was idle this week. Raceland visits Russell Tuesday, Greenup County Thursday and welcomes Lewis County Friday for the resumption of a game from Thursday night.

 

RUSSELL 7-13

 

Russell’s only game this week was against Boyd County which was called in the second inning due to weather.

 

Russell welcomes Raceland Tuesday and visits Rowan County Thursday.
