GIRL’S SOCCER RECAP For 9/9/25

ASHLAND 4-5

 

Ashland went 0-2 this week with losses to Minford, 4-1 and 1-0 to Johnson Central.

 

Ashland visits West Carter Tuesday, welcomes Boyd on Thursday and Montgomery County Saturday.

 

BOYD COUNTY 6-2-1

 

Boyd went 2-1 this week with wins over Fleming County and Estill County and a loss to Bourbon County, 3-0 in the Kentucky 2A Semi-State round.

 

Faith Burnside led the Lions with five goals including scoring her 100th career goal in an 8-0 win over Fleming. She added two assists as well. Aubree Moore added a pair of goals and had four assists. Eden Henderson kicked in a goal and Viv Allen notched an assist. Emilee Bush had six saves in the shutout.

 

Burnside had another five-goal game in the Lions 6-1 win over Estill County. Henderson had the other goal. Moore assisted on three scores, Allen added two and Savanna Henderson tallied an assist. Bush had nine saves in net.

 

Boyd visits Ashland Thursday and Pikeville Saturday.

 

GREENUP COUNTY 2-5

 

Greenup went 0-2 this week with a 9-1 loss to Spring Valley and 8-0 loss to West Carter.

 

Ava Carter had the lone Musketeers goal in the loss to Spring Valley.

 

Greenup welcomes South Point Thursday and visits Paintsville Saturday.

 

RUSSELL 7-1-1

 

Russell went 2-0 this week with an 8-0 win over West Carter and 5-2 win over Wheelersburg. No stats were reported.

 

Russell welcomes Minford Thursday.
