ASHLAND 4-3

 

Ashland picked up a pair of wins this week with a 9-4 win over Menifee County and an 8-0 shutout of Pikeville. 

 

Meisha Salisbury found the back of the net five times in the win over Menifee while adding a pair of assists. Lainey Hankins, Hayden Workman, Marisa Baker and Kylee Adams each added goals. Baker had two assists. Pyper Lemaster and Adams added an assist each. 

 

Baker had a hat trick with an assist to lead Ashland to the shutout win over Pikeville. Madison Myers, Leah Payne, Annabella Kouns, Salisbury and Hankins added goals. Hayden Workman, Skylin Watts, Lemaster, Hankins and Salisbury had assists. 

 

Ashland visits Minford Tuesday and welcomes Johnson Central Thursday. 

 

BOYD COUNTY 4-1-1

 

Boyd won 5-0 over Mason County in the opening round of the Kentucky 2A Sectionals. Faith Burnside had a hat trick. Gracie Crowe and Cheyenne Burke kicked in goals. Aubree Moore had two assists. Maddie Stevens and Viv Allen added assists. Emilee Bush worked a clean game in net with eight saves. 

 

Boyd travels to Fleming County Tuesday and East Carter Saturday. 

 

GREENUP COUNTY 2-3

 

Greenup defeated Paintsville 4-1 in their only game this week. Ava Carter led the way with two goals. Hannah Frasure and Eva Wireman each kicked in a goal. 

 

Greenup visits Spring Valley Tuesday and welcomes West Carter Thursday. 

 

RUSSELL 4-1-1

Russell defeated East Carter 9-1. Lily Ervin and Ava Barker had hat tricks in the win. Sophia Bagby, Kaelyn Howard and Gracie Miller each added a goal. Haley Daniels and Barker had a pair of assists. Emma Stamper, Chloe Ferguson and Miller each had an assist. 

 

Russell welcomes West Carter Tuesday and visits Wheelersburg.
