River Cities Super Bowl Championships Held at Tank Stadium

River Cities Football League came to a close Saturday at Tank Stadium in Ironton with the Super Bowl and Silver Championship games.
Malaki Houston scored both touchdowns in Raceland's 14-6 win over Russell in the JFL second grade Super Bowl.
Houston's score in the third quarter gave Raceland a 6-0 lead. Andrew Boyd would convert the two-point conversion. Cash McMillan would score on a one-yard run for Russell to cut the lead to 8-6 with less than two minutes left in the game. Houston would break lose for a 70-yard touchdown run on the next play to give the Rams a 14-6 win.
The third grade JFL Championship was all Russell in the first half as the Devils racked up 30 points against Boyd County. Cade Barnett scored a touchdown on a 40-yard reception with less than a minute before intermission to give the Devils a 24-12 lead. Jaxon Murphy would pick off a pass and score as time expired to put Russell up 30-12 at the end of the half. The Devils would hold Boyd County scoreless in the second half for a 30-12 third grade JFL Super Bowl win.
The Greenup County Musketeers bested the Russell Red Devils 28-26 to bring home the 5th grade championship trophy.
Raceland and West Carter six grade teams battled to a 20-20 tie to force overtime where each team would receive the ball on the ten-yard line. Raceland scored first but missed the two-point conversion. West Carter capitalized by scoring a touchdown and converting the two-point conversion for a 28-26 win in the six grade Silver Championship.
The Ironton Tanks had a 14-0 win over a very talented Russell team to bring home the River Cities Football League’s 6th Grade Championship.
Greenup A won the first grade Silver Championship over Greenup B 40-0.
Ironton defeated Boyd County to win the 4th Grade Super Bowl Championship.
Raceland won the 4th and 5th grade Silver Championships by defeating Morehead 18-0 in both games.
