ASHLAND 8-1

Ashland went 5-1 this week with wins over Spring Valley, Rowan County, Raceland, Johnson Central and Russell and a loss to Sayre, 2-1. 

 

Ashland defeated Spring Valley, 3-1. Miley Murphy led the Kittens with 12 kills. Mena Pittman added 11 kills. Olivia Wiley finished with 10. Elise Marcum had eight kills and a team-high five blocks. 

Ashland blanked Rowan, 3-0. Marcum led the way with 12 kills. Wiley had nine. 

 

Ashland welcomes Rose Hill Tuesday and plays Clinton County, Butler County and Corbin at Adair County on Saturday. 

 

BOYD COUNTY 1-1

 

Boyd opened the season with a 3-0 win over Fairview and a 3-0 loss to Cabell Midland. 

 

Payton Jones led the Lions with five kills in the loss to Midland. Adria Queen and Lilah Thornbury each had four. 

 

Jones and Thornbury each had seven kills in the win over Fairview. Sophia Clark and Queen added six. 

 

Boyd welcomes East Carter Tuesday and visits Raceland Thursday. 

 

FAIRVIEW 5-3

 

Fairview went 2-2 this week with wins over Lewis County and Sugar Creek Christian and losses to Lawrence and Boyd. 

 

Madison Loving led the Eagles with eight kills in the loss to Lawrence. Karly Caldwell had four aces. 

 

Zoe Grant and Loving each fired down 10 kills in the straight sets win over Lewis. 

 

Fairview visits West Carter Tuesday, welcomes Greenup Thursday and heads to Rowan County Saturday. 

 

ROSE HILL 0-3

Rose Hill fell to Millard 3-0 in their only match this week. No stats were reported. 

 

Rose Hill visits Ashland Tuesday, welcomes Morgan Thursday and heads to Lewis County Saturday. 

 














GREENUP COUNTY 4-2

 

Greenup went 2-1 this week with wins over Green and Fleming County in straight sets and a 3-0 loss to Ashland. 

 

Peyton Powell led the Musketeers with 11 kills and six blocks in the loss to Ashland. Hailey Dillow had eight. Lucy Roy had six blocks and five kills. 

 

Powell had 13 kills to lead Greenup past Green. Kaylee Braden added 10. Roy had nine kills and seven aces. 

 

Powell fired down 16 kills and had four aces in the win over Fleming. Braden and Roy each added nine kills. 

 

Greenup visits Russell Tuesday and Fairview Thursday. 

 

RACELAND 3-4

Raceland went 1-4 this week with a 3-0 win over East Carter and losses to Russell, Ashland and Sayre. 

 

Allayson Rigsby had 10 kills in the win over East Carter. Annie Bradshaw followed with seven kills and four aces. 

 

Raceland welcomes Boyd County on Thursday. 

 










RUSSELL 9-4

 

Russell went 5-1 this week with wins over Raceland, East Carter, Johnson Central, Sayre and a loss to Ashland. 

 

Jaycee Hall and Kennedy Darnell each fired down eight kills in the win over East Carter. Brooklyn Sizemore added six. Nyna Vorndran had eight aces. 

 

Darnell led Russell past Raceland with 14 kills. Sydney Sizemore added 13. Hall kicked in 11. 

 

Russell welcomes Greenup Tuesday and visits Lewis County on Thursday.
